Project 52 - Week 1

Hello all (If theres anyone out there following my blog yet)

I've finally gotten round to posting my first photo of my Project 52,
which can be found Here for anyone wishing to take the challenge aswell.

This week doesnt have a theme as such, just that you need to post your favourite recent photo.

I have chosen this photo as it was my first photo taken with my newly aquired Canon 5DmkIII, i simply love how pin sharp this camera is when coupled with the 50mm f1.4 and the bokeh effect caused by the full frame and such a wide aperture is simply stunning

So here is my photo:

This is our little kitten, Ginga, who we took in as a ferrel kitten at what we suspect was less than a week old, as the garden that Ginga's mother decided to give birth in was home to some bulldogs and the owner was worried that the kitten would be killed so asked us if we would take it in.

She was very shy and nervous at first, we made her a small home in what used to be the dogs bed (a cage so she was secured from our dog, a cavalier king charles spaniel which would of loved nothing more than to lick and cuddle the little kitten) but she was so nervous she wouldnt let anyone anywhere near her, and hissed and tried to swipe at them, after a week or so of being hand fed and lots of cuddling she eventually calmed down and found herself at home with us.

She is now so friendly with the aforementioned dog that they actually clean each other (So much for the food chain hey?!) and is likely to be the most cuddly kitten you could possibly ever meet.

So that is all for this week, a little late i know and i apologise. Next weeks theme should be announced tomorrow so i will try to get that one up a little quicker this time :D
